For over 30 years I worked in an artisan wood shop on the Italian island of Sardinia. I began as an apprentice at 15, and worked my way up as an essential part of the renowned wood shop Erminio Caria. I developed my experience under two master craftsmen until I could join their rank and manage as the principle woodworker. Sales of our work were in demand all over the globe, from Italy to Dubai, and even at the Vatican.
